Meet The Founder of Lush Fab Glam

Meet The Founder Of

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for joining and supporting us as we celebrate the official relaunch of I would like to start off by introducing myself to those of you who are new visitors to the website. I will also be sharing a bit about my personal journey and my vision for Lush Fab Glam.

My name is MJ and like the majority of Lush Fab Glam readers, I am a woman. I am also a daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, humanitarian and I recently celebrated nine years as the founder of

Lush Fab Glam is the site that made my dream to be an independent writer, editor and entrepreneur come true.

It has been the launching pad for my profession, helped me to achieve several of my life goals and provided a foundation for me to start and grow my own businesses.

However, is not just my passion. It's an invaluable resource that women can use to learn, grow and be empowered to live their best life.

I believe that women are beautiful, resilient and complex beings. I wanted to create a place and community on the web where women like myself, my friends and all women. No matter what stage of life's journey they were on could feel welcome, supported and represented. While on their quest for advice, helpful tips, answers to life's puzzles and inspiration to enhance their lives.

Our relaunch week coincided with the yearly International Day Of the Girl an observance that recognizes and raises awareness about the plights, inequality and challenges that girls face throughout the world. From the lack of proper education to child marriages, human trafficking, inequality in opportunities and the poverty that arises because of it.

Did you know?
"That each year, 12 million girls under 18 are married?
130 million girls worldwide are still out of school?
Approximately 15 million adolescent girls aged 15-19 have experienced forced sex?
Based on data from 30 countries, only 1% of adolescent girls who have experienced forced sex reached out for professional help?"

Learning about these statistics compiled by Unicef and Unesco broke my heart. As both a woman and a mother, it made me want to hold on to and protect my little girl forever. Unfortunately, that is not possible and as staggering as these numbers are, they still do not take into consideration the abuses and inequalities that girls will continue to face as grown women.

Here at we will do our part to raise awareness and advocate for the rights of women and girls around the world.

Join us on this journey of discovery
as we explore what it means to live joyfully
and love wholeheartedly.

Take a look at the video below to learn more about my vision for and how it can benefit you and the women in your lives.

  8. The stats about the forced sex and sex exploitation are staggering and frightful. What is right and what is wrong is supported within a family unit and within the societal acceptance.
That is why when people start supporting politicians who think there's nothing wrong to rape, forcefully and willingly to put down a woman – we get the quality for a society and its norms.

That's a very heart breaking statistics.. It's so sad to know that a big number of girls in the world weren't given a chance to choose and that some of them are forced at a very young age..
