Six Things To Do Before A First Date.

Girl Talk: Six Things Every Woman Should Do Before A First Date.

There’s nothing quite like a first date with a man you’re really interested in to set your pulse racing and the butterflies churning in your stomach. What if it goes wrong? What if he doesn’t like you? How will you handle the rejection? These worries are all part of the anticipation that often surrounds a first date you have high hopes for, and none of them will help you to enjoy yourself.

Read on to discover the six things every woman should do before a first date with someone you really like to ensure that you are relaxed, look and feel your best and that you are ready to have a fun and romantic time...

Tip 1: Take the afternoon off:
If at all possible, book the afternoon off work before a date that you really want to go well. This gives you plenty of time to go home, have a bath, and get ready, rather than feeling like you’ve rushed through your preparations after a hectic day at the office.

Tip 2: Book a treatment:
While you might not want to go for a detoxing facial that leaves you looking flushed, consider having some kind of pampering treatment. Maybe an aromatherapy massage would help you unwind before the big date. Even just getting your nails done is a great way to be pampered; and when he takes your hand into his, he’ll notice that you’ve made an effort!

Tip 3: Be confident:
Self-confidence is vital when you are looking to attract men. Nothing is going to be more of a turn-off than a woman who appears needy or is pressuring someone to commit to meeting up again when you’re only on a first date. On the other hand, showing him that you are comfortable in your independence will increase your desirability. Most men aren’t searching for a partner to take care of – they just want to meet someone they can have fun with and enjoy their time together.

To boost your self-confidence before you head out on a first date, think about all the good things you have going for you, and you’ll see what a desirable catch you are. If you still need convincing, write a list of all your good points so you can remind yourself just before you head out the door.
You don’t need to tell your date how great you are; you just need to know it inside, in order to feel more confident. He’s probably going to be as nervous as you are. On your date, don’t hug the talking time; encourage him to tell you about himself and make sure you listen to what he has to say.

Tip 4: Know what you’re going to wear:
Don’t jump out of the bath and decide what to wear when you’ve only got half an hour to get ready.
Pick out an outfit a few days in advance, so that you’re not caught up in a moment of indecision at the last minute and go out wearing something that looks thrown together. Remember to pick shoes that make you feel sexy, but also allow you to walk.

Tip 5: Go easy on the make-up:
A lot of women tend to overdo their make-up for a first date; often because they spend too much time sitting in front of the mirror before they head out. All you need is a little mascara, lip gloss and color to your cheeks – much more than that and you’ll look like you’ve applied war paint, not make-up.

Tip 6: Enjoy yourself:
It’s easy to forget that the whole point of going on a date is to have fun and meet someone new. Don’t get too caught up in what this date may mean and think too much about where it may lead. The likelihood is that you’ll go on a lot more dates with a lot more people before you find the person you want to settle down with – or find the person who wants to settle down with you. Don’t worry about what’s going to happen after this first date; live in the moment, enjoy the experience, then see what happens.
