This Week's Celebrity Quote by Bono!

Bono is a music legend known worldwide for making decades of great music with his band U2, but he is also an avid humanitarian. One of the most vocal of our age, who uses his celebrity to bring awareness to injustice and inequality in our world.

Bono has been nominated for the Noble Peace Prize three times for his advocacy work in Africa towards ending poverty, the Aids epidemic and reducing Africa's Debt. The quote below is one of his most poignant and inspiring.

"You see, Africa makes a fool of our idea of justice. It makes a farce of our idea of equality. It mocks our pieties. It doubts our concern. It questions our commitment. Because there is no way we can look at what's happening in Africa, and if we're honest, conclude that it would ever be allowed to happen anywhere else." -Bono

Bono's quote on one of the defining moments of his life:
"Ethiopia didn't just blow my mind; it opened my mind. Anyway, on our last day at this orphanage a man handed me his baby and said, 'Would you take my son with you?' He knew, in Ireland, that his son would live, and that in Ethiopia, his son would die."

So good to see that not all celebrities are preoccupied with fame and self some actually use their fame to do something unselfish.

I wonder what happened to the little Ethiopian boy. He should have taken him but their are some strict rules for adoption.

I don't get why people make fun of Angelina and Brad for adopting, it must be hard to see children suffering and leave without helping at least one.
