Entertainment & Celebrities: Michael Jackson $250 Million Record Deal

Michael Jackson Snags $250 Million Record Deal from Beyond The Grave!

He may be dead and gone but Michael Jackson's music career is far from over. The King of Pop's estate recently signed a $250 million contract with Sony Music to release Michael's unreleased recordings and back catalogs through to 2017.

Rob Stringer, chairman of Columbia/Epic Label Group, a division of Sony, says:
“It’s not just a record deal. We’re not just basing this on how many CDs we sell or how many downloads. There are also audio rights for theater, movies, computer games. I don’t know how an audio soundtrack will be used in 2017, but you’ve got to bet on Michael Jackson in any new platform.”
Wow, it seems the king of pop is signing bigger contracts now, than when he was alive! We've got a new Elvis Presley on our hands.
