Singer, actress and America's Next Top Model Host Rita Ora recently shared some of the amazing tips she learned after revamping her own eating and workout plan. Which has left her feeling healthier, stronger and most importantly works for her lifestyle needs. Read on to see the tips she shared and how they can help you with your own health and fitness journey and quest for your perfect summer body...


Tip 1: It’s about being strong, not skinny.
Rita admits that she was not happy with her body and her lack of stamina on stage, she knew she had to change and improve her lifestyle but she "didn’t start working out to get skinnier". She "started working out to feel better."


Tip 2: Eat foods that are right for your body.
Rita worked with a doctor to create a diet that works specifically for her body, health needs and lifestyle. She says that "she can eat quite a bit as long as she also exercises". She has learned that "eating isn’t the problem, though. It’s about what your body needs, and everyone’s body is different."


Tip 3: Indulge a little too.
Rita confesses that she indulges in her favorite foods like wine and cheese but only once a week.


Tip 4: Find your workout rhythm.
Rita admits that in the past " I used to push myself until I felt sick. But I’m approaching it differently now. I enjoy working out. And I like the aftermath—that feeling of contentment." She has learned to take her time with training, she says "you don’t have to beat yourself up as long as you get in the workouts that you need." What works for Rita is circuit training where she focuses on her thighs and butt. She also does squats and weight lifting.


Tip 5: Give yourself some fitness inspiration when you need it.
On days when she is not motivated to go the gym Rita looks to fabulous stars like Jennifer Lopez and Kate Beckinsale for a little inspiration. "They look incredible" she admits "if they can look like that, I have no excuse."
