Celebrate The Holidays With Confidence And Style.

The thing about myths is that they spread quickly and once out it's hard to contain them and convince others that what they think is fact is actually just a myth. In today's Girl Talk post we are exposing and debunking the myths and misconceptions associated with LBL or light bladder leakage but that's not all. We will also provide you with amazing tips for a fun, active and fulfilling lifestyle during the holidays without the thought of needing a bathroom break or not getting there in time, looming in the back of your mind.

The holiday season is officially here and many of us are preparing to host guests,  travel and attend events over the next few weeks that will culminate in a spectacular New Year's Eve celebration. Whether you are a full time fashionista or a style conscious mom who enjoys getting dressed up for family dinners, work holiday parties or a dinner and dance soiree. You want to be confident that you can be active on the dance floor, sit through speeches at your work holiday event or be on your feet all night hosting guests without having to go to the bathroom a million times or have an accidental bladder leak.

Before I share my solution for dealing with light bladder leakage, let's discuss the myths about bladder leakage, what causes it and who experiences it...

Exposing The Myths About Light Bladder Leakage.

1. Myths about who is affected by bladder leakage:

Myth 1: Bladder leakage only happens to elderly people.
Fact:  Nearly 50 percent of women who have had children by the age of 50 are affected by stress incontinence or an overactive bladder.

Myth 2: A little leakage when I cough or sneeze is normal.
Fact: While it's true that leakage is common, it's a misconception that bladder leakage is normal or inevitable.

Myth 3: I am the only woman in my 20s, 30s or 40s who has this problem.
Fact: Both stress incontinence and an overactive bladder are highly pervasive even in younger women.

2. Myths about how to deal with bladder leakage:

Myth 4: Always go to the bathroom when you feel the urge "to go" or see the ladies room.
Fact: "Going" just in case on a regular basis can actually increase the risk of developing an overactive bladder. Instead of spoiling your bladder it is better "to go" every 3 to 4 hours which is the normal schedule.

Myth 5: If  I do Kegels I won't have any problems, even when older.
Fact: Every woman can benefit from Kegels since they strengthen bladder muscles but for many women they are not enough to stop the problem.

Facts about how to deal with light bladder leakage:

Light bladder leakage is especially common in women like myself after pregnancy and child birth. It's one of those unexpected physical after effects that can be bothersome and even affect your quality of life. The assumption is that after birth, life will go back to normal (well as normal as can be expected with a newborn) but in reality I was forced to slow down and even stop some of the activities I loved from working-out, to dancing and taking long walks or nature hikes.

The good news is that at least 96 percent of women with stress incontinence can have their problem cured. While surgery may be required for some women based on their bladder testing results, it is certainly not the best choice for everyone and it was not the right choice for me.

For moms like me who simply want to get back to enjoying the outdoors, having an active playful lifestyle with our little ones and wearing stylish dresses to events and parties without the fear of having an embarrassing moment there is a game-changer on the market. It's the new discreet and super absorbent Poise panty liners for light bladder leakage.

Unlike regular pads and liners used for your menstrual cycle Poise incontinence panty liners are made with a super absorbent material that helps them stay to 3 times drier while absorbing up to 30 times it's weight. It also has an absorb-loc core that neutralizes odor and a flexible design that moves with your body, ensuring that you are fresh, dry and comfortable at all times.

I stocked up on the new Poise thin liners for LBL during my regular shop and save trip to Sam's Club. It's my go-to store to get more for less and where I find everything from food, drinks and decorations for my parties, to personal care items like Poise products and so much more.
